On September 15, 2024, Karnataka achieved a historic milestone by forming what is claimed to be the world’s longest human chain, stretching 2,500 kilometers across the state. This monumental event was organized to celebrate the International Day of Democracy and symbolize equality, unity, fraternity, and participative governance.

- Event Scope: The human chain spanned from Bidar in the north to Chamarajanagar in the south, covering all 31 districts of Karnataka. Approximately 25 lakh people participated, averaging over 1,000 participants per kilometer.
- Main Event: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led the primary event in front of the Vidhana Soudha, reading the preamble of the Constitution. The event included diverse groups, such as transgenders and differently-abled individuals.
