The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2024) results, announced on Tuesday, have brought pride to Karnataka as six students from the state secured All India Rank (AIR)-1. Among these top achievers is Arjun Kishore from Mysuru, who scored a perfect 720/720.
Arjun, son of Dr. M.S. Kishore, Assistant Professor at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute, and Dr. Rashmi, a gynecologist, expressed his joy over the accomplishment. He completed his schooling at St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar, and PUC at Expert PU College, Mangaluru, where he also prepared for NEET. Arjun aspires to study MBBS at AIIMS, New Delhi, to fulfill his dream of becoming a surgeon.
Other top rankers from Karnataka include V. Kalyan, Shyam Shreyas Joseph, Padmanabh Menon, Pragna P. Shetty, and Kushi Magnoor. NEET UG 2024 saw 24,06,079 candidates enrolling, with 23,33,297 appearing for the exam, which was conducted in 13 languages across 4,750 centers in 571 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.
