Ramanagara: The Karnataka silk department is grappling with financial difficulties, prompting Animal Husbandry and Silk Minister K. Venkatesh to assure that measures will be taken to address the crisis. The minister acknowledged shortcomings in the department, including staff shortages, and proposed meeting with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah along with a delegation of MLAs from sericulture-related districts to find solutions.
