Koppal, June 17: The police have arrested 52-year-old Siddalingaiah Naikal for the alleged murder of a seven-year-old girl at Kinnal village in Koppal. The incident occurred on April 19 when the girl refused to buy gutka for Siddalingaiah, who was intoxicated at the time and in an altercation with his brothers.
Incident Details
On April 19, Siddalingaiah, in an inebriated state, asked his neighbor’s daughter to fetch gutka for him. Initially complying, the girl brought the gutka once. Later, when Siddalingaiah demanded it again, the child refused. Enraged, Siddalingaiah allegedly struck her on the head with a stick, resulting in her immediate death.
Discovery and Arrest
The girl’s father filed a complaint on April 20 after she went missing. Her body, concealed in a fertiliser bag inside an old house, was discovered by the police on April 21. Siddalingaiah was subsequently arrested on Sunday.
