K’taka Government transfers Udupi washroom video case to CID

Udupi: The Karnataka state government has transferred the controversial washroom video case at Netrajyothi Paramedical College, Udupi, to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The incident involves three Muslim female students allegedly recording a video of a Hindu girl in the college washroom on July 18. Amidst the sensitivity of the case, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tweeted that the CID would handle the investigation.

The Karnataka government has taken a significant step in the ongoing Udupi washroom video case, which has garnered widespread attention. The state authorities have handed over the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation. The incident came to light when the suo moto police case was registered on July 26, drawing attention to the alleged invasion of privacy and potential inter-community tensions.
