Chikkamagaluru: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) District President Hemant Kumar alleged that fearing the rise of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) across the Country, the Bharathiya Janata Party (BJP) has arrested Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish C. Sisodia.

Addressing a press conference, he said that there was no irregularity in Delhi’s excise policy. The new policy is yet to be implemented. Many states have this policy. For nearly a year, the Centre’s investigators had been targeting Sisodia. However, no evidence has been found to substantiate the allegations. Cash or any illegality could not be detected. The BJP, knowing that the Aam Aadmi Party is the only force to defeat them, is not able to face us politically and is misusing its power to create trouble,” he alleged.

AAP State Joint Secretary Dr. Sundara Gowda said that any party that rises above truth, justice and religion will be destroyed. Our fight for justice is continuous. People will never tolerate the politics of injustice. He demanded that Sisodia should be released tomorrow itself if the BJP has any respect for it.

Candidate aspirant M. P. Eeregowda said Sisodia who is also the Education Minister, was arrested by the BJP through the CBI for questioning him about the plight of the education system in Karnataka’s Davanagere on March 4 when he was scheduled to attend an AAP Rally. This is condemnable,” he said.

AAP Leaders Jameel Ahmed, Anthony, Salman and others were present.
