Chikkamagaluru: The process towards election in Chikkamagaluru Assembly Constituency is gaining momentum by the day. The statements against BJP MLA C. T. Ravi are also strong. What has Ravi, who has been an MLA for the last 20 years, done, they questioned.

BJP District President Kalmurudappa and Sudarshan, who is a relative of Ravi, was taken to task by voters at Uddeboranahalli Village in the Taluk, asking if 20 years was not enough for him to develop Chikkamagaluru Constituency.

BJP Leaders are holding meetings on behalf of Ravi in the villages under Chikkamagaluru Assembly Constituency. BJP District President Kalmurudappa and MLA CT Ravi were present at the meeting organised at Uddeborahalli Village in the Taluk.

Ravi’s brother-in-law Sudarshan had visited the temple to campaign. During his visit they asked, “What has he done for the development of Lingayats?”

The District BJP President and the BJP unit were also embarrassed after the voters took them to task in the middle of the road.

Ten days ago, voters supposedly had set ablaze a saree given by the BJP at Bhaktahalli in Chikkamagaluru during a BJP campaign. “We don’t want sarees, we need facilities,” they said, adding that five to six sarees were burnt in the middle of the road.
