Chikkamagaluru: BJP National President J. P. Nadda will arrive at Koppa in Sringeri Assembly Constituency on February 20 and hold a meeting with arecanut growers and then also hold a meeting with the elected representatives of Sringeri Assembly Constituency to discuss the preparations for the next elections.
Speaking at a press conference, he said that he will leave Sringeri at 9.00 am on February 21 and then proceed to Chikkamagaluru, visit MLA C. T. Ravi’s house and then proceed to Kuvempu Kalamandira at 10.30 am via bike rally.
There he will hold meetings with intellectuals and dignitaries from various fields and then proceed to Belur.
Speaking about arecanut cultivation the other day, he said that the people of the State have seen that since the time the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power to date, special emphasis has been given to arecanut farming.
He said that the Government had responded by immediately releasing Rs. 10 Crore to find a solution for arecanut leaf spot disease.
