Chikkamagaluru: Leader of Janashakthi Sanghatana K. L. Ashok said that Karnataka Janashakthi will organise an awareness jatha on March 28 at AIT College Stadium in Chikkamagaluru under the slogan ‘No land, no housing, no votes’.
Addressing a press conference here, he said thousands of people had applied under sections 94C, 94CC for housing rights at the conference and it would be demanded that title deeds be issued to the houses of eligible people immediately.
The Gram Panchayats should immediately allot the plots reserved for housing to the homeless and construct houses. Title deeds should be issued to the cultivated land of the farmers of Malnad. Besides conducting research on the arecanut plant disease and leaf spot disease that is affecting the farmers of Malnad, a suitable compensation for the farmers and a special package for the labourers should be announced. All public hospitals should be upgraded and Government schools should be developed, he urged.
Anti-environmental development measures should be stopped. It will be demanded at the conference that the roads of all the villages should be repaired with that money, he said.
