Kaveri Sawmill near Kempanahalli in the City was started at a time when there was no habitation in the past. Later the area became a residential area. However, due to excessive noise pollution and tree dust inside the house, the residents of the locality are suffering daily, they said.

The residents urged the District Administration to immediately instruct the concerned authorities to cancel the licence of the sawmill and take appropriate steps to shift it to the outskirts of the City and help the local residents to lead a smooth life.
