Chikkamagaluru: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council B. K. Hariprasad said that the Coastal – Malnad Prajadhvani programme has been organised to create awareness against the BJP Government.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday March 7, he said awareness programmes have been organised in 36 Constituencies. The BJP has started as a ‘Vijay Sankalp Yatra’, they don’t even have a face to do it. The BJP’s corruption is being diversified, he said.
“Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has said that action will be taken against Madal Virupakshappa after the Lokayukta probe. You don’t need a mirror for a sore palm. The Lokayukta has arrested Virupakshappa’s son. If they need more evidence, it means that they are glorifying corruption,” he said.
The Centre is clearly adopting a step-motherly attitude towards Karnataka. When J. P. Nadda was the Health Minister, he told the Lok Sabha that eating arecanut leads to diseases. Araga Jnanendra of the State should change the arecanut crop. It’s of no use. Millions of people depend on arecanut. They complained that they had left a hanging sword on them. MLA C. T. Ravi said that he had brought the grant of Rs. 8000 Crore for the sector, but if asked, he had not completed any project,” Hariprasad alleged.
