Chikkamagaluru: District Hazrat Tipu Sultan Fan’s Mahavedike held special prayers at Badamakan Mosque in Chikkamagaluru on Monday July 3, praying for rain.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamsheed Khan, District President of the Vedike, prayed for water for drinking, for the people, for cattle, and for timely rains to help the farmers sow the land and grow crops.
He said that the Forest Department officials should take the initiative to grow more trees in the City in the wake of nature’s fury due to the destruction of trees. He said that everyone in the City should involve themselves in planting saplings.
He further said that even if man has relationships with God, he in return gives wonderful deeds to living beings. He said that only by displaying goodness to everyone can we save the natural wealth of life and greenery. Vedike leaders Tanveer Pasha, Junaid Adhikari, Javeed, Raghavendra, Prasad and others were present on the occasion.
