Chikkamagaluru: The Villagers of Uddeboranahalli have expressed their Opposition to the incident in which BJP District President Kalmarudappa and C. T. Ravi”s relative Sudarshan, who were campaigning in Uddeboranahalli, were thrashed by some villagers. A video of them expressing their anger against the media had gone viral.
Recently, when Ravi’s close friends had gone to Uddeboranahalli Village for campaigning, some people in the village had expressed their displeasure over the functioning of Ravi. Even after 20 years, the village has not developed, they said and complained that the Lingayat Community was ignored.
As the news spread everywhere, the villagers of Uddeboranahalli have expressed anger over the media and praised Ravi’s style of functioning.
Stating that Chikkamagaluru City and the Constituency are testimony to the development done by Ravi in the last 20 years, he said that he has also contributed a lot to the District in the field of irrigation.
The villagers have clarified that they have not discriminated anywhere and objected to the video being made into a news. The villagers said it was Ravi who laid great emphasis on irrigation facilities by bringing an irrigation project to the District from Bhadra to Gondi project at a cost of Rs. 1200 Crore. The routine words of the villagers are depicted in a big way, they added.
The villagers praised Ravi for giving all the required infrastructure, emphasis on the construction of community halls and said that no politician has done the development done by Ravi so far.
The villagers said that no Lingayat voter had ignored Ravi and took a dig at the Opposition by extending their support to Ravi.
