Mudigere: A private bus en route to the outskirts of Bengaluru was involved in a tragic accident, plunging into a roadside gorge near Kaskebail in Mudigere taluk. Unfortunately, a woman named Surekha (45), who hailed from Yelahanka in Bengaluru, lost her life in this distressing incident. Additionally, 17 other passengers from the bus sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at Mudigere Hospital.
The bus was carrying a total of 48 tourists and was traveling from Bengaluru. The accident occurred at approximately 4 am when the bus, moving at a high speed from the direction of Belur, lost control while navigating a turn, ultimately ending up in a coffee plantation beside the road. Swiftly, police and fire brigade personnel arrived at the scene, rescuing the injured passengers and transferring them to a hospital for necessary medical attention.
