Chikkamagaluru: Head of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Padmashri Dr D Veerendra Heggade visited Belavadi on November 5 where shooting of a movie based on Shri Dharmasthala Rural Development Project is underway.
District Director of Shri Dharmasthala Rural Development Project Geetha and team welcomed Heggade. Later he was taken in procession to the shooting location Shri Udbhava Ganapathy temple along with local troupes and Bhajana groups.
After offering pooja at the temple, Heggade discussed with movie director Nagabharana about the shooting progress.
Speaking to media persons, Heggade said, “the purpose of making movie is to reach out to the public and spread the noble work under Shri Dharmasthala Rural Development project helping thousands of needy. Let the project help everyone to live a self-reliant life. We have collected Rs 20 each from 20 lakh members of Shri Dharmasthala Rural Development project for making this movie which is titled ‘Kanurayana’.”
Director Nagabharana said, “The movie wof 2 hour duration is being made at the budget of Rs 1 crore. We have completed 20% of shooting and will be released by next March.”
