Hassan: JD (S) leader H. D. Kumaraswamy claimed on Wednesday June 22 that the Agnipath scheme was introduced by the Union Government following the directives of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In the interests of the youth, the former Chief Minister demanded that the Center withdraw the recruitment scheme.
He also claimed that the scheme was being carried out so that the RSS could expand activities in the armed forces.
Kumaraswamy alleged that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was controlled by the RSS and working as per the directives of Keshava Krupa, the Sangh’s office. He also condemned the harassment Congress MP Rahul Gandhi faced as a result of the ED’s ongoing interrogation in the National Herald case.
He further said that PM Narendra Modi said the latter did not visit Karnataka during the Covid – 19 second wave, but rather came to the State to perform yoga. He will now visit the State every month until the 2023 Assembly polls, Kumaraswamy said.
