Hassan: The incessant rains has brought joy to the farmers of Halebeedu in the District as Dwarasamudra lake is full of water.
The lake built around 9th century by the Rashtrakutas is spread across 900 acres, and filling up of the lake has brought relief to the farmers as they need not bother about water needs for the next four years at least. The ladies of the village, and the nearby villages are daily offering pooja to the lake as it has filled up after approximately 12 years.
The boating facility too has been started which is drawing the tourists across the State. People coming to simply watch the beautiful lake view has also increased.
