Hassan: Devotees had to face a lot of hardships due to lack of proper arrangements for the Darshan of Sri Hasanambe on Thursday October 20. A devotee standing in a queue collapsed in front of the Temple and died.
Girish (40), a resident of Bommenahalli in Dudda Hobli of Hassan Taluk, who was standing in a queue at around 12 noon, collapsed and died on the spot. He was reportedly waiting for darshan of the deity without even having breakfast.
Former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda’s wife Channamma along with her daughter Shailaja had darshan of the deity on Thursday. Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje also visited the temple on the evening of Thursday and offered special prayers.
