Hassan: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy has made it clear that the JD (S) is not disturbed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mandya District.

“As soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Mandya, there were reports in some sections of the media that there was unrest among the leaders. I don’t know when Narendra Modi came and went, he remarked. If Modi comes to Mandya 10 more times, and wherever he comes, we are not worried about it. Though Modi tries to entertain people temporarily by his words, so there is no disturbance and there is no fear for the JD (S),” he said.

“Today we have retained the moral strength to fight against the two national parties. We will continue to do so,” he added.

Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi not talking about JD (S), Kumaraswamy said he had nothing to talk about JD (S) as he has no good in him.

“When I became the Chief Minister for the second time, I had given several schemes to Mandya District,” he said and added that the money given was diverted elsewhere and that truth cannot be told so he has not said anything against the JD (S).

Reacting to Prime Minister wishing fighter Ravi, he said it was indeed a matter of shame that the BJP’s position in Karnataka was in such a pathetic condition that the Prime Minister is bowing down to the underworld dons who were indulged in illegal activities and running a cricket betting racket.

On Sumalatha’s felicitation of Narendra Modi with Mandya jaggery, Kumaraswamy said that the Prime Minister should give a good programme to the District if he tastes Mandya jaggery.
