Hassan: Mandya District in-charge and Excise Minister K. Gopalaiah has said that it is not right to give any other meaning to the change in Mandya District In-Charge.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said that earlier Revenue Minister R. Ashok himself was in-charge of Mandya District, after which I was temporarily given additional charge by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. Now that Assembly elections are coming up in a few months, the CM has appointed one minister in-charge for each district, he clarifies.
This move should not be interpreted differently, he stressed.
