Hassan: District Congress Campaign Committee President and Spokesperson Devaraje Gowda said that JD (S) leaders should stop making baseless allegations against Congress leaders on the Kattaya Hobli issue.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that what Congress leader D. K. Suresh had said about joining Sakleshpur Assembly Constituency near Kattaya was true and the JD (S) Leaders were justifying the issue as they feared defeat during the elections. In 2008, JD (S) Leaders were responsible for the inclusion of Kattaya hobli from Hassan Vidhana Sabha Constituency to Sakleshpur Assembly constituency, while H. D. Deve Gowda was a member of Kuldeep Singh Ayog, he said.
At that time, Kattaya Hobli was completely Congress-dominated, so it was the JD (S) that tried its best to include it in the reserved constituency, he said.
