Hassan: Police arrested a bridegroom on charges of second marriage just minutes before tying the nuptial knot on Friday October 28.
The arrested has been identified as Madhusudan, a software engineer and son of the Indresh and Anitha couple, natives of Chikkalasandra in Bengaluru. The accused married Vasudha a native of Bengaluru four years ago and separated from her due to rifts. But even before divorcing her, he tried to marry another girl.
The accused pretending to be a bachelor visited girls daily in Hassan two months ago. The marriage was also fixed to be held on Saturday October 28. The couple even booked a flight ticket to Maldives for their honeymoon. The marriage reception was held on the evening of Thursday October 27 at a Kalyana Mantapa in Hassan.
But the first wife of the accused Madhusudan alerted the Kalyana Mantapa owner in the morning who informed the fraud of the girl’s family. Immediately the marriage was cancelled and a complaint was filed against him.
Extension Police arrested the accused Madhusudan and booked a case.
