Hassan: Yatheesh of Thirumanahalli Village along with his family members have started a sit-in in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office demanding immediate arrest and punishment for the culprits involved in the attack and murder of his brother Yashwanth and his family members.
Chandan and his family members had a scuffle with Yashwanth over a road issue at Thirumanahalli Village in Belur tzaluk, during which a case was registered against four persons, including Ashwath, Jayachandra Gowda and Nitin Kumar, who attacked Yashwanth with a machete and caused his death.
A complaint was lodged with the District Superintendent of Police but to no avail even after providing proof and video footage regarding the incident.
Yathish said that recently Kabbinahalli Yashodhara came to his house and repeatedly threatened to withdraw the case.
He further said “I am working as a soldier and have come to the village on a month’s leave. “Who is responsible if something happens to the family while on duty?” he asked, adding that they had recently assaulted his mother as well.
He said the police should arrest the killers immediately or else they will sit on a dharna in front of the DC’s office continuously.
The soldier’s mother Vasantha Kumari and Grandmother Guddamma were also present.
