Hassan: Tight security, preparation for counting

Hassan: Elections were held in 7 Assembly constituencies of the District on May 10. The voting machines were kept in the strong room of the government engineering building in the city with tight security.

The voting EV machines conducted in 2,000 polling stations in Hassan, Arakalagudu, Sakaleshpur, Belur, Arasikere, Shravanabelagola and Holenarasipur assembly constituencies of the district have been collected from seven assembly constituencies and kept in the Engineering College building and counting of votes will be held on May 13.

Tight security of the military, police and paramilitary forces has been arranged near the building’s strong room and outside the building and all necessary steps have been taken by the district administration for the counting work.

Counting of votes will start from 7.00 am on Saturday March 13, and the chances of the results coming out by noon are high.
