You can prove the talent you have on this field. This will help people from our rural areas to come forward in sports,” he said.
He was addressing the players after inaugurating the Kempegowda Cup Kabaddi Tournament organised by Vokkaliga Association at Hulikal Village near here on Sunday March 5. He said that sports should not be restricted to one day but should be practiced continuously every day, participating in tournaments held everywhere and becoming the best sportspersons of the Country and making the Taluk as well as Village proud.
MLC Suraj Revanna said that today’s youth should not play too many games on their mobiles but should be more and more interested in rural sports which are mentally and physically healthy. The villagers should also encourage local sportspersons by organising more of these kinds of rural sports.
He further said, “I have travelled to all the Taluks of the District and given grants for various development works, given special grants to Hulikal Village as well as grants for Temple development in many parts of Mallipattana Hobli. He said that he has given a lot of funds to Arakalagud Taluk for the repair of school building, roads, Kalyana Mantapa, drains, and asphalted roads.
