The footage shows Arpita walking on the street when an SUV approaches, and she is grabbed and forced into the vehicle by two men. The family identified their relative, Ramu, as the suspect behind the abduction. Reports suggest that Arpita and Ramu had been in a relationship for four years, but when he proposed marriage, the family declined, leading to this violent act.
The incident occurred around 8 am as Arpita was on her way to school. The police have initiated a search, forming three teams to locate the kidnappers. Superintendent of Police Mohammed Sujeetha mentioned that they are also investigating why Arpita left her home, considering all schools in Karnataka were closed for Kanaka Dasa Jayanti.
