Hassan: In a heartbreaking incident in Hassan district, Karnataka, a college student named Suchitra, aged 20, met a tragic end when her ex-boyfriend, Tejas, slashed her throat in a fit of rage over their recent breakup. Suchitra was a second-year B.E. student at Government Engineering College in Mosale Osahalli village, near Hassan.
The unfortunate incident unfolded as Tejas, aged 23 and a senior at the same college, convinced Suchitra to meet and talk one last time. They went on a bike ride to Kundikuta hill near Hassan, where Tejas confronted Suchitra about their breakup. In a sudden turn of events, Tejas revealed a hidden knife and slashed Suchitra’s throat, causing her to bleed to death on the spot.
The police were alerted to the scene, and they swiftly arrived to recover Suchitra’s body. Tejas was subsequently arrested in connection with the tragic incident. The motive behind the gruesome act was identified as Tejas’s inability to cope with the breakup, leading to a violent outburst that ended in a devastating loss of life.
