Shivamogga: Containment zones should be strictly handled until the Covid positivity rate is reduced, said Deputy Commissioner K.B. Shivakumar.

He held a video conference with Taluk level officials at the DC office on Thursday, June 3 to review Covid management and monsoon preparations.

“Containment zone must not be cleared for at least 14 days. Positive individuals should be placed in the Cowid Care Center without allowing home isolation. Greater care should be taken about the health of children. Asha workers should continue to monitor the health of children recovering from corona for a continuous 6 weeks,” he said.

He said that if any children have had a persistent fever for 3 days, the primary care center should be informed.
