Shivamogga: Let me be put in Tihar jail or jail in Parappana Agrahara, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar hit back at IT-BT Minister Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan’s comment that ‘for Shivakumar’s dealings Tihar jail is the permanent destination’ and dared Minister to jail him saying he was not afraid.
Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday May 10 at the Janadhwani programme in Shivamogga, he said, “No matter whatever jail they choose, we cannot order them. Corruption is taking place in the State in examinations, recruitments and so on.”
Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy has said that certificates and passing are all rackets, said Shivakumar and added that the State Government is working to cover up the scams. CM Basavaraj Bommai and Former CM Yediyurappa have certified that Former Minister K. S. Eshwarappa is not guilty, he pointed. He also alleged that action was being taken against petty officials to cover up the scam.
Reacting to Home Minister Araga Jnanendra’s remarks that the Congress protest and padayatra were an election gimmick, he questioned whether all the yatras undertaken by Former Deputy Prime Minister L. K. Advani and Yediyurappa in the past were “gimmicks”.
