Shivamogga: The burning issue in the State, Halal boycott movement has now entered Bhadravati of the District. On Thursday March 31 Hindu activists entered meat shops, and asked not to sell Halal meat. While the activists say we only had conversation, the owner of meat shop alleges that he was physically assaulted too.

FIR has been registered in two different police station in this connection. Both Hosamane and Bhadravati Police have registered the case.

Meanwhile on Thursday, four unknown persons visited several Hindu chicken and mutton shops at Shivaji Circle of Bhadravati here. They demanded to give them non-Halal meat. However the owners said that they don’t have non-Halal meat.

The activists urged the shop owners to sell non-Halal meat only. Hindus are in large numbers at Hosamane, so Hindu activists were spreading awareness regarding Halal, the activist said. Local people also joined with Bajrang Dal activists.
