Inebriated man vandalises idols in school premises at Theerthahalli

Shivamogga: In an incident reported from Haroholige Village of Theerthahalli Taluk in the District, a man desecrated four idols including that of Goddess Saraswathi in the premises of Government Lower Primary School here.

It is said that the man in an inebriated state vandalised the idols in a fit of rage overcome by feeling of a revenge as he was denied water by the headteacher of the school. Apart from Goddess Saraswathi, the idols of Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda and Gautama Buddha have been damaged.

A complaint has been filed against the culprit identified as Govinda at Thirthahalli Police Station.
