Shivamogga: Patriots are happy that PFI has been banned on Bhagat Singh’s birthday. K. S. Eshwarappa said that this work is done by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and he welcomes it.

Speaking in a press conference, he said that banning of PFI organisation, which misleads youth, accumulates foreign money and is involved in violent activities, should be welcomed by patriots of all classes and religions. They used to go around shouting slogans like ‘Haskar Liye Pakistan, Ladte Huwe Lenge Hindu Sthan…’. He said that the question of Congress, BJP and JD (S) should not arise that the organisation has been banned, he said.

“All the news from the states are collected and sent to the Central Government for banning. This process had to happen. Earlier I had questioned Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Council, he said ban it, it is your own Government at the Centre. Some young and old Muslims have a bias towards Pakistan and this mindset should change. Can peace be established by killing Hindu youth?, he asked and warned that if you don’t change your mindset, you will suffer Congress has been patronising PFI for the Muslim vote bank. All parties should emphasise the work of developing patriotism. Nalpad, who came to Parappana Agrahara, said that due to lack of employment, youth engage in terror activities, which is condemnable. He need to speak carefully, he noted.

Answering the media question as to why PFI has been banned for only five years, Eshwarappa said some young people may have gone to PFI without knowing it. He said that the Central Government has banned such people for five years to allow them to correct themselves. Since SDPI is a political party, the ban requires the approval of the Election Commission. We have to wait and see what the Central Government will do, he added.
