Shivamogga: Police raid houses of PFI, SDPI activists

Shivamogga: Following the NIA raid, the Shivamogga police conducted raids on the houses of PFI and SDPI leaders and activists.

At around 3.00 am on Tuesday September 27, the police raided the houses of five PFI leaders and activists and took them into custody. It is being said that police raids have been launched across the State.

Tahir, Sadique and Qureshi were taken into custody in Bhadravathi. It is learnt that the police operation was carried out under Bhadravathi Old Town Police Station limits.

It is learnt that two persons have been taken into custody in Shivamogga and it is being said that more activists’ houses may have been raised. Information on the motive behind the raid is yet to come out.
