Shivamogga: A programme called “Savarkar Samrajya” will take place at Science Ground at 5.00 pm on Saturday October 22, said Veteran BJP leader and Former Minister K. S. Eshwarappa.
Speaking to mediaperson, he said, “The programme is jointly organised by organisations “Samagama” and “Srigandha” in memory of Veer Savarkar’s visit to Shivamogga in the year 1944.”
“While the majority of people respect him, some still have negative things to say about him. Some people misunderstood him, which is confusing society. Certain political parties are supporting these people. However, Savarkar will forever be an inspiration,” he said.
He also said that Satyaki Savarkar, a nationalistic thinker and Savarkar’s grandson, will attend the ceremony.
