Shivamogga: “It is an insult to the State and the voters of that Constituency that an MLA who has won an election to look for another Constituency. He should be able to demonstrate his development works in front of the people of the Constituency and seek votes. Don’t look for a Constituency like a wanderer, said Former Minister K. S. Eshwarappa.
Speaking to mediapersons, even today, Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah is not saying from which constituency he will contest from. He said that the day will also come when he will say which party he will contest from today or tomorrow. Will a person who does not know which Constituency to contest from will rule the State? Siddaramaiah will not get the right seat, whoever contests from any Constituency will lose. The BJP will field an ordinary worker and defeat Siddaramaiah,” he said.
Speaking on the implementation of the Kalasa Banduri Project, Eshwarappa said, “The BJP is at the forefront of implementing the Kalasa Banduri Project. The Congress has not made any effort to resolve this issue. Mallikarjun Kharge, Dharam Singh and H. K. Patil had met Sonia Gandhi and said that the Congress party is with us on the Mahadayi issue. A month later, during the Goa elections, Sonia Gandhi had said that not a single drop of water would be given to Karnataka. The Congress has dual politics. He criticised how the Mahadayi project was used for politics.
