Shivamogga: The Doddapete Police has succeeded in nabbing a woman who came to Malabar Gold and Diamond shop as a customer and stole a chain.
The Doddapete Police has arrested Rathna T Kom Gonippa @ Goni Basappa of Chirastahalli Village of Vijayapura District.
On November 24, 2022 the woman went to Malabar Gold & Diamond shop on B.H. Road in Shivamogga in the guise of a customer and diverted the attention of a sales girl Pavitra snatched a mangalya chain weighing 10 grams and 938 ml worth Rs. 60,000 and fled from the spot.
A case was registered at Doddapete Police Station in this regard and the police, who were pursuing the case, earlier also arrested the woman for stealing jewelry from Sultan Gold and Diamond shop.
