An old video circulating on social media has captured significant attention, showing a man casually strolling on a railway track and trying to halt an oncoming train. What stands out in the footage is the train’s conductor, who exits the locomotive in exasperation and confronts the man physically.
In the video, the man, who appears to be under the influence of alcohol, is seen standing on the track and waving at the approaching train, with reports suggesting he was even blowing kisses in an attempt to stop it. After several honks from the train’s horn, the man finally steps aside. The conductor then stops the train, disembarks, chases the man, and physically assaults him. The video, which has garnered over 2 million views, has sparked widespread discussion, with many praising the conductor’s actions.

The incident reportedly took place in Uttar Pradesh. The man involved, an orphan, had traveled to Panvel with his aunt from whom he became separated.
Social media reactions have been mixed. One user commented, “The level of intoxication here is alarming and dangerous. Alcohol should be banned since it’s clear that those under its influence can’t always make safe decisions. Why should alcohol remain legal if it jeopardizes lives?”
Another user pointed out, “Instead of filming, the bystanders could have intervened earlier to help the man.”
Additionally, a third user tweeted, “It’s striking that there’s a reporter and cameraman in the background. Rather than aiding the situation, they’re focused on recording it. While news coverage is important, preserving a person’s life should take precedence. It was the train driver’s quick thinking that prevented a potential tragedy.
