A serious road accident unfolded near Yeyyadi along Airport Road on Tuesday, as a speeding car lost control and crashed into multiple parked vehicles, causing significant damage.
The out-of-control vehicle first collided with a parked car and then rammed into several two-wheelers stationed on the roadside. In total, six vehicles were extensively damaged in the incident. The car also knocked down a roadside signboard during the collision, adding to the destruction.
Fortunately, despite the intensity of the crash, no major injuries were reported. Bystanders and vehicle owners escaped without serious harm, which officials described as a “narrow escape.”
The driver of the vehicle claimed that brake failure led to the loss of control. However, authorities have not yet confirmed the precise cause of the accident, and a detailed investigation is currently underway.
Locals have raised concerns about speeding vehicles in the area, particularly along the busy Airport Road stretch, urging officials to consider traffic calming measures and enhanced road safety monitoring.
The incident highlights the ongoing need for vehicle maintenance awareness, responsible driving, and infrastructure checks to prevent similar mishaps in densely populated urban zones.
