Mangaluru: The Annual Athletic Meet 2025 of St Aloysius ITI took place on January 10, 2025, at 9 a.m. at the St Aloysius Gonzaga Ground. The event highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance among students.
Chief Guest and Dignitaries
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Delvin Dias, Manager at Sensicool Innovative Energy Solutions, Dubai, and an alumnus of SAITI, who served as the chief guest. The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. John Dsouza, SJ, Director of St Aloysius ITI. Other notable attendees included:

Inaugural Ceremony
The event began with a march past by students from all trades, with MRAC 1st year students securing the prize for the best march past performance. The college flag was hoisted by the chief guest, followed by a prayer service led by Fashion Designing 1st year students.
In his address, Mr. Delvin Dias shared inspirational words:
“Winning a trophy or medal is not important. Participation and sportsmanship are key. Believe in yourself and stay dedicated to your goals. Challenges are opportunities to grow, and success comes through hard work and perseverance.”
The chief guest officially declared the meet open by releasing balloons and pigeons, symbolizing hope and unity.

The day featured a wide array of events, including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m races, high jump, long jump, ring throw, shot put, and relays. Students showcased their athletic prowess, and winners were honored with medals and certificates.
