Mangaluru: The Anti-Ragging Cell of Yenepoya Pharmacy College and Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), located in Naringana, Mangalore, organized an Anti-Ragging Week for first-year B.Pharm, D.Pharm, Pharm D, and M.Pharm students on August 12, 2024. The event was spearheaded by the anti-ragging cell committee, including Dr. Mohammed Gulzar Ahmed, the Principal and Chairperson; Rokeya Sultana, the Vice Principal; Abdul Rahamanulla, Convener of the Anti-Ragging Cell YPCRC; and other committee members.

The program’s chief guest and resource person, Ms. Najma Farooq, ACP Traffic Mangalore, inaugurated the event with a detailed discussion on anti-ragging awareness. Ms. Farooq provided valuable insights into what constitutes ragging, the relevant laws and regulations, and the consequences for those involved in such activities. She also explained the regulations and policies surrounding anti-ragging.

The first day of Anti-Ragging Week concluded successfully, with the committee and attendees gaining a comprehensive understanding of anti-ragging measures and their importance in ensuring a safe and respectful academic environment.
