Bharath Cinemas Expands with Seventh Multiplex at Deralakatte

Mangaluru: Bharath Cinemas celebrated the grand opening of its seventh multiplex at Beary’s Turning Point in Deralakatte on Monday, January 20. The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of notable personalities, including Director Balakrishna Shetty, Anand Pai, Sudheer Pai, Subraya Pai, Venkatesh Pai, Sudha B Shetty, Dr. Vindhya Pai, and Siddiqui Beary, the owner of Beary’s Turning Point.

This new addition joins Bharath Cinemas’ locations in Mangaluru, Puttur, Udupi, Padubidri, Kundapur, and Manipal. The Deralakatte multiplex boasts four screens with a total seating capacity of 639, equipped with cutting-edge 2K laser technology for an enhanced cinematic experience.

Director Balakrishna Shetty reflected on the company’s growth, stating, “We now operate 28 screens across seven locations in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. Our journey began with the launch of the first multiplex in Mangaluru on March 26, 2006. Looking ahead, we are revitalizing an old screen in Sullia by transforming it into a three-screen multiplex and planning new multiplexes in Karkala and Bhatkal.”

The newly launched Deralakatte facility stands out for its luxurious seating, ample row spacing, and superior design, acoustics, and technical specifications. The inauguration was preceded by a Puja ritual, adding a traditional touch to the event.

With its focus on innovation and expansion, Bharath Cinemas continues to set a benchmark for premium cinematic experiences in the region.
