Vittal: A disturbance broke out at the Vittal revenue inspector’s office when a politician and his supporters created a scene over a property regularization issue. The incident, which resulted in a broken glass table, unfolded after Sheikh Shibaan, a resident of Veerakhamba, sought to regularize his newly constructed house on government land.

Shibaan had applied under Section 94C for the regularization of the property, but the revenue inspector’s report noted the house was near the forest department office and required clearance from the department. When the consent was not granted, a politician arrived with his supporters, creating a ruckus and smashing a glass table in the office.

The situation escalated until Vittal police arrived and managed to control the crowd, bringing the chaos to an end.
