Class V Student Prevents Electrocution Of Classmate In Mangaluru School

Mangaluru: A Class V student is being celebrated for her quick thinking, which saved her classmate from being electrocuted. The incident occurred at Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary School in Ira on June 14, during the lunch break. Sharafiya, a student, received an electric shock while switching off a fan.

Noticing her classmate’s distress, Fatimat Ashfiya immediately threw a plate at Sharafiya’s hand, preventing further injury. Headmistress Sonitha reported that the issue has been brought to the attention of the school’s SDMC, and confirmed that Sharafiya is healthy and unharmed. It is suspected that Sharafiya may have touched the switch with wet hands.
