Bjp Workers Accused Of Throwing Crackers At House

A group of BJP workers has been accused of throwing crackers at a neighbor’s house in Bagambila site, Kotekar village, on the day of the Lok Sabha election results. The complainant, Naveen, stated that the accused, Mithun alias Mithesh, Sushanth, Nithin, Sourav, Sandeep, and others, were bursting crackers on June 4, and threw a cracker towards his house while his wife was feeding their child. When the cracker burst with a loud noise, Naveen’s wife ran out in fear. Naveen approached the accused but retreated upon seeing Mithun holding a sharp weapon. Mithun allegedly hurled abusive words and issued a death threat. Ullal police have registered a case under sections 504 and 506 of the IPC.

Sexual Assault Allegations
A woman has accused Vinod Raj of sexually assaulting her under the pretext of marriage. In her complaint, the woman said that Vinod Raj signed the rent agreement of her house in March 2023. On March 23, he visited her house and allegedly harassed her sexually when she went to get water. He later promised to marry her and allegedly continued to sexually assault her. A case has been registered at the women’s police station in the city.

Assault on Minor
A man has been booked for sexually assaulting a minor girl and impregnating her. The complainant’s neighbor allegedly assaulted her in February, March, and April, promising to marry her. The girl, now one-and-a-half months pregnant, is admitted to a government hospital. A case has been registered at the women’s police station.

Fire Incident
An accidental fire broke out in a car spare parts and accessories shop at Bondel on Friday. The fire and emergency personnel received a call around 10:40 am and rushed to the spot to douse the fire. It is suspected that a short circuit caused the fire, resulting in significant damage to the spare parts and accessories. The loss is yet to be ascertained.
