In a heartwarming initiative, schoolchildren from nine rural schools in Ankola, including Kumbarkeri, Angadi Bail, and Kerigadde, received cycles to ease their daily journey to school. The distribution brought smiles to the faces of the students, who often face long walks.
The bicycles, both new and refurbished, were repaired and distributed thanks to the collective efforts of several individuals. Rakesh Bolar conceived the idea, Harsha D’Souza provided storage, and Vivek Gouda helped collect the bikes. Rajesh Devadiga arranged transportation, while Devanna, Alex (USA), and Manjunatha Gouda assisted with distribution.
This initiative aims to help rural children and repurpose unused cycles from urban flats, making a meaningful impact on education.
