Mangaluru: Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) has unveiled its revamped Medical Store (No. 70) at the Utility Building, marking a significant step towards enhancing patient experience, efficiency, and accessibility in pharmaceutical services.
The upgraded facility was formally blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI), in the presence of administrators, staff, and management members.
Focus on patient-centric healthcare
Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo highlighted the importance of compassion and efficiency in healthcare delivery. He noted that the medical store serves as the final touchpoint in a patient’s hospital journey and plays a crucial role in shaping the overall experience.

Introduction of single window dispensing system
A key feature of the revamped facility is the introduction of a Single Window – Single Dispensing System, which streamlines the process and significantly reduces waiting time for patients.
By integrating the Kranium Hospital Management System, the pharmacy has transitioned into a paperless dispensing model, ensuring greater accuracy, transparency, and environmental sustainability.

The redesigned medical store incorporates several modern features aimed at improving efficiency and patient convenience:
- Faster turnaround time through streamlined workflows
- Unified dispensing counter replacing multiple service points
- Enhanced accessibility, including facilities for specially abled patients
- Direct internal connectivity from the OPD block for uninterrupted access
- QR code-enabled medicine verification to minimise errors
- Affordable pricing to ensure accessibility for all patients
- Well-trained staff focused on effective communication and service
- Dedicated support for Father Muller Health Card registration
These improvements address earlier operational challenges and ensure a seamless dispensing process.
Leadership and team effort
Rev. Sr. Mary Zeenath Suares, In-charge of the Medical Store, expressed gratitude to the management for their support in implementing the upgraded facility. She reaffirmed her commitment to maintaining a patient-centric approach in pharmacy services.
She also acknowledged the contributions of Rev. Fr. George Jeevan Sequeira, Administrator, Rev. Fr. Rohan Dias, Assistant Administrator, and Rev. Fr. Nilesh Crasta, former Assistant Administrator, for their role in the successful renovation.
