Mangaluru: Representatives of Father Muller Charitable Institutions participated in the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) Incentive Disbursement Event organised by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Mangaluru, at the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry Auditorium on June 19.

The programme formed part of a nationwide initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), a flagship employment-linked incentive scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15, 2025. The scheme aims to promote formal employment, strengthen social security coverage, and encourage employers to generate additional employment opportunities across the country.

Scheme Aims to Create More Than 3.5 Crore Jobs

The PM-VBRY scheme provides incentives to eligible first-time employees as well as employers creating additional jobs. The initiative is expected to facilitate the creation of more than 3.5 crore employment opportunities during its implementation period.

The Mangaluru programme was conducted in alignment with the national event and was live-streamed from New Delhi, where the Prime Minister participated in the nationwide release of PM-VBRY benefits to eligible employees and employers.

Dignitaries Attend Mangaluru Event

The event was attended by Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada, Shri Vedavyas Kamath, MLA, along with government officials, employers, and employees representing various industries and organisations from the region.

Representing Father Muller Charitable Institutions were Mrs Jyothi Pinto, Human Resource Manager, and Ms Juliet Lobo, Establishment Superintendent.

PM-VBRY Encourages Employment Generation

Addressing the gathering, Mrs Jyothi Pinto said the PM-VBRY scheme serves as a strong motivation for employers to expand their workforce while contributing to national development.

She noted that every new recruit represents a livelihood secured, a family supported, and a meaningful contribution to the country’s economic progress. She expressed gratitude to the Government of India for introducing the visionary initiative under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Appointment Orders Presented to New Employees

A special highlight of the programme was the presentation of appointment orders to newly recruited employees. Representing Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Mr Lester Lobo and Ms Preetha D’Souza received their appointment orders on the dais during the event.

The participation of Father Muller Charitable Institutions reflected the organisation’s continued commitment to employment generation, workforce development, and support for national initiatives aimed at strengthening formal employment and social security coverage.
