Fire at Pilikula Nisargadhama: 2 electric vehicles gutted

Pilikula

Mangaluru: In the early hours of Wednesday, a fire broke out at Pilikula Nisargadhama near the ticket counter, resulting in two electric vehicles being completely gutted. The incident reportedly began when a spark ignited an electric vehicle that was charging at a nearby workshop.

The fire quickly engulfed two vehicles, causing significant damage. Over 10 buggy electric vehicles were in the parking lot at the time, but a major disaster was avoided due to the swift response of Pilikula staff, who stepped in to control the flames before they spread further. Allegations have surfaced that the Kadri fire brigade did not arrive promptly, despite two vehicles already ablaze.

It took the fire brigade half an hour to reach the scene, by which time the Pilikula staff had managed to contain much of the fire. The Kadri fire brigade eventually doused the remaining flames. Kavoor and Mangaluru Rural police officials later arrived at the scene to inspect and assess the incident.
