Fire at Furniture Showroom in Udupi: A fire broke out at a furniture and electronics showroom near Trasi on Sunday evening. According to district fire officer Vinay Kalgutkar, the owners estimate the loss to be around Rs 1.5 crore. The fire started in a ground plus two-floor building and spread to the first floor. Three fire tenders from Kundapur, Byndoor, and Udupi were involved in the operation, with 20 officers working for nearly five hours. Sources suggest that a short circuit may have caused the incident.
