Ensuring Beach Safety

Home Guards will be stationed at prominent beaches such as Sasihithlu, Surathkal, Someshwar, Mogaveerpatna, Ullal, Panambur, Tannirbhavi, and Fathima Beach. Two guards will be assigned to each beach, operating in two shifts from 7 am to 7 pm.

Preventing Loss of Lives

Dr. Choontharu emphasized the need for beach safety awareness, especially during monsoon when sea conditions are rough. The presence of Home Guards aims to mitigate risks and prevent loss of lives among tourists and locals unaware of sea dangers.

Collaboration for Disaster Management

Home Guards will work in tandem with the Police Department and Fire and Emergency Services to manage disasters effectively. A reserve team of 10 Home Guards will be on standby at the district Home Guard office to respond to emergency calls during the monsoon.

Extending Safety Measures

In addition to beach deployment, Home Guards will remain vigilant at Subrahmanya bathing ghats, Upinangady Sangama, Bantwal Mulki, Sullia, and Belthangady, ensuring prompt response to emergencies across the district.
